Design agency Parker Williams has redesigned Tesco’s full own-label vitamins and supplements range
According to the London-based agency, which is part of Sun Branding Solutions, the brief called for a strong range identity with clear product communication and improved navigation in a category that can be difficult to shop.
The new look has been designed to use simple, bold graphic images with gentle humour that is intended to signal the positive benefits of each product. For example, two swimming fish adorn the ‘Multivitamins + cod liver oil’ product, while a smiley face with sunglasses has been designed for the ‘Calcium + Vitamin D’ pack.
Straightforward and easy-to-read copy describes the product benefits and a strong colour palette helps range navigation as well as contributing to the feeling of positive health.
Jo Saker, Parker Williams creative director, said: “Communication in health and wellness is no longer problem oriented. We wanted to take an optimistic and positive approach to conveying the individual product benefits – and to give customers a smile.”
