French champagne house Veuve Clicquot has released its latest gift presentation packaging, a cooling box modelled on a fridge.
The Reims-based champagne house enlisted graphic and packaging design agency QSLD Paris to come up with The Veuve Clicquot Fridge, which is this year’s instalment in Veuve’s ongoing series of collectible cool boxes.
The box features the brand’s logo and a handle in the style of a retro refrigerator. It is available in Veuve’s iconic orange colour or a striking pink version for the wine’s rosé variety.
French packaging manufacturer Dapy injection-moulded the box from thermoplastic resin. An opaque white thermoformed polystyrene wedge has been used to keep the bottle cool, for up to two hours, according to QSLD, inside the box.
"We wanted to create a case in which the cooling function was immediately identifiable," said QSLD creative director Denis Boudard. "That is why we chose the fridge."
The box is being rolled out worldwide this summer.
