The new aroma protection packaging by Ströbel
Tim Sykes reports
Ströbel GmbH, based in Langenzenn, Germany, has launched a new 'aroma protection packaging' which delivers long-term aroma protection of coffee beans. The five-seam side gusset bags with block bottom are made from composite PET 12/ Alu 7/LDPE 85µ, supplied in standard silver or gold, with or without valve, and with standard filling volumes of 250 g, 500 g, or 1000 g.
According to Ströbel, customers benefit from flexible production, small purchasing volumes, and stocks guaranteeing immediate availability. The five seams also deliver better stability than comparable products. The manufacturer cites aroma sealing, light protection and good printability as a winning combination of functionality and marketing potential to offer customers. In addition to holding the aroma, a valve with a vent duct enables roast gases to escape.
Ströbel GmbH specialises in side gusseted bags and stand up pouches. Both types of bags allow better palletability due to their edge sealing. The bags are ideal for high quality presentation on the shelf. The stand-up pouch can also be equipped with a pressure cap and a wide range of individual print designs are possible.
