Sirane upbeat after investments and award for Saucy Fish packs
Absorbant packaging specialist Sirane has been boosted by upgrades on its production lines and an award for Sira Cook’s Saucy Fish packaging.
Additions include the design and constuction of proprietary bag-making prodution lines for new products in the Sira Cook range.
“Thus far, we have invested over £300,000 in developing these new production lines,” said Sirane co-founder Ian Beardsall. “Ovenable packaging, namely high temperature packaging, which generally incorporates polyamides or polyesters, typically needs a more detailed knowledge base.”
Sira Cook’s Saucy Fish product scooped the best packaging prize at the UK Supermeat and Fish Awards. The packs allow consumers to cook their fillet and sauce straight from the display pack.
According to Sirane, the Sira Cook film is an elevated resistant film that allows the product insideto be cooked in its own juices. The packs are an alternative to metalised trays and Sirane said that they have no secondary films to peel off.
“The cook-in product issues are now all clear and straightforward for the consumer and the pack cost benefits are clear for all to see,” added Sirane co-founder Simon Balderson.
