Studio h redesigns branding for National Trust’s packaging
Design agency Studio h has revamped the National Trust’s packaging for products ranging from confectionery to stationery.
The company was tasked with updating the National Trust’s image and bring coherence to its product range. Studio h came up with a wood block print effect to retain the traditional feel to the brand.
For the National Trust’s range of biscuits, Studio h commissioned Adrian Johnson to produce a range of architectural-based illustrations. The biscuit packaging was printed by Chesapeake while the chocolate bars were produced by Culverlands Press.
“It was important that the redesign reflected the National Trust’s culture,” said Studio h creative director Rob Hall. “We came up with a range of icons that relate to that. They didn’t want to lose the craft feel of the brand but wanted a contemporary look.”
Further products, including toiletries, will be rolled out with the new branding. Home fragrance ranges and outdoor products are set to be launched early next year.
