This corrosive product bottling system is fully enclosed and suitable for products such as chlorine bleach, paint additives, and caustic cleaning solutions. Although harsh material processing presents many challenges, we built this system to deliver worry-free production despite exposure to caustic product.
To tolerate the corrosive environment, we constructed the base from carbon steel treated with a thick layer of epoxy paint. The drain pan and all lateral surfaces were executed in Super Duplex steel, which is roughly twice the strength compared to austenitic stainless steels and exhibits unparalleled resistance to localized corrosion, pitting, and cracking. We applied a Halar® coating on the stainless steel tanks to keep them resistant to any chemical product. Our engineers specified PVC-CAW for the conical tank bottom, nozzles, and other product-contact components because of its proven track record in tank and chemical equipment construction.
The machine is completely enclosed and will not contaminate any plant environment. Fumes generated during the bottling process are captured and channeled through a customer-supplied exhaust system operating in accordance with applicable regulations. Drive components, as well as the electronics of the weighing system, are below the machine table in a separately enclosed compartment that is over-pressurized with purified air. Abundant safety features protect workers from exposure to fume and splash.
WEIGHTPACK has executed several variations of this net weight corrosive product filling line which are operating with supreme reliability and accuracy at customer locations. For more information on this system and how it can help your application, contact us today.
