The Double Cone Mixer is relatively important equipment in modern processing plant where it is used to create harmonized solid mixture. The solids which are being mixed in this equipment can differ in terms of bulk density & in percentage of total mixture. An entire body of the mixer rotates and does not allow a single particle of the mass to stay at one place. The mass continuously tumbles and mixes.
Double Cone Mixer is unique equipment especially suitable for the small to medium capacities. The sizes of Double cone mixer available are 50 liters to 3500 liters.
How Double Cone Mixer Constructed:
The main body of mixers consists of two conical shaped sections which are finely welded at their bases to a big central cylindrical section. The axis of rotation is at right angles to cone axis & passes through cylindrical section. The driving motor is located at one of the two sideways supports holding main mixer body.
The solids are loaded into mixer through loading orifice. In this type of double cone mixer, mixing takes place in axial direction & as a result of the material moving through the different sections. Further mixing is result in to very fine homogenous mixture and obviously speed of rotation required to take in to consideration. Speed of axis of rotation is achieved due to use of worm type of gear box and speed variation is achieved with the use of sensor less variable frequency control drive. Finally, harmonized solid mixture is discharged through a hermetically closing butterfly valve which can be operated manually or automatically.

As per customer requirement, machine can be made available either with left side drive or with right side drive.
Speed reduction is easily achievable due to use of worm gear and Variable frequency drive.
Inside & outside surface of the cone is completely mirror finished.
Machine Structure is built using AISI 304 material.
All safety guards & covers made out of SS304 in GMP Model.
