A New Coke Fad Coming Down for Olympics
2008-12-01
For a part of brewing campaign for the Beijing Olympics, which will kick out from 8th August to 24th, Coca-Cola is launching eight different aluminium limited edition bottles.

The design for each format came from a Chinese graphic artist and an additional CD made by New York-based Ultra Records musicians was also attached. The theme for the whole campaign featured “Coke Side of Life.”

The eight themed bottles will be distributed separately to eight different countries including Australia, Belgium, Brazil, China, France, UK, Greece and New Zealand.

The Iconologic agency in Atlanta noticed artists and designers in China. They came up with the conclusion that bottles could be themed in different subjects such as happiness, uplifting moments, global harmony and active optimism.

The entire packaging for cokes from the identity, poster, brochure and CD booklet to bottles is under development and examination of the Iconologic agency.

The setting could be available at promotional events in some countries leading up to the Olympics and at at Coca-Cola stores in Atlanta and Las Vegas.
