Lindal won an award for the Economic Sustainability category, the other categories were; Environmental Benefits and Social Responsibility. Eight companies were shortlisted for the BAMA Awards and the standard of entries was very high. The three independent judges were: Tony Mills, former Unilever Vice President for Research and Development and now an Industry Consultant; Robert Opie, author and curator of the Museum of Brands, Packaging and Advertising; and Brian Moore of EMR-NAMNEWS Ltd, and expert on retail trends.
Judges feedback consisted of:
Bi Power- Valve – highly innovative valve technology which dispenses 2 product streams from a three chamber system
Oil Spraying System – highly innovative technology consisting of a double piston and novel actuator for oil spraying products which atomises even pure oil without any additives.
The judges commented on how the innovative valve technology would save product waste as it appears to produce fine droplets of oil through the valve technology without clogging.
Lindal Group Sales Director Alan Magill said: Receiving the BAMA Economic Sustainability award was, we believe, a reward for the substantial investment we have and are continuing to make in the innovation of new delivery systems for the current and future requirements of our customers and our industry, whilst taking into account the ecology and the environment.
