Stella Artois launches new limited edition festive packaging
2016-11-07

Form:Packaging News

Stella Artois is unveiling its limited edition packaging and Christmas gifts, encouraging people to ‘Host One to Remember’.

Originally crafted as a gift and named after the Christmas star, Stella Artois is offering a number of gift ideas that pay homage to the brand’s namesake. These range from special edition heritage bottles and unique gifts for under the tree to limited edition Chalices and a new at-home keg for the optimum serve.

Following on from the success of Christmas 2015, Stella Artois will launch a line-up of new artfully designed premium packaging across its small and large packs. The elegant new design puts a focus on Stella Artois’ iconic star logo, with golden stars set against a crisp white backdrop and completed with the iconic Stella Artois cartouche and logo.

The limited edition packs will be available in retailers, wholesale and convenience stores across the country – including Tesco, Asda, Morrisons and Sainsbury’s. Key visuals, shelf strips, isle stoppers and displays will also run in store to support the campaign with ‘Host One to Remember’ messaging.

The Stella Artois 750ml Heritage bottle is making a return this year in time for the party season. The traditional green Champaign-style bottle is crafted especially as a special gifting option and for sharing around the table. The bottle will be available from November in Sainsbury’s and wholesalers nationwide. Also available this year for the first time, is a 5L Stella Artois keg, available exclusively at Morrisons.

First launched in 2014, the limited edition Stella Artois Christmas Chalice is also back this year. With a gold cartouche, the newly designed glassware echoes the on-pack artwork.

The wide base of the Stella Artois Chalice curves into a narrower top, allowing the lager to swirl as it is poured at a 45 degree angle, liberating the fragrance from the hops. The elegant long stem is purposely structured to keep the liquid away from the warmth of hands.

Chalices will be available from November through Sainsbury’s, Asda and Morrisons or via the Stella Artois Chalice Store.
