Tennis superstar launches new sweet packs

Branding consultancy Red Antler and advertising firm Dentsu has worked with tennis superstar Maria Sharapova’s new sweet packs

Empire Foodbrokers, the exclusive UK distributors of Sharapova’s new sweets called Sugarpova, said that the sweets were available in twelve different varieties and the “stylish candies inject a fashionable and fun vibe into the sweets category”.

Red Antler and Dentsu helped to produce the fun packaging that was launched in New York last year and in the UK in Selfridges this month.

Maria Sharapova said: “It has been so fun creating my dream candy line. I can’t wait for the whole world to see what we’ve made!”


Chandresh Patel, managing director of Empire Foodbrokers, said: “We’re thrilled to have been appointed as the exclusive distributors of Sugarpova in the UK and are confident that the fun, flirty characteristics of these sweets will be an outstanding hit, whether you’re a tennis fan or not.”


Created to appeal to the female market it is listed exclusively in Selfridges with an RRP £3.99.
