The focus of the new London show, which takes place at the Business Design Centre in Islington, is firmly on creativity, branding and marketing with a number of specialist companies revealing their latest packaging products and services for the very first time, making it the place to be for any Marketer, Brand Owner or Designer looking to gain that competitive edge.

Alexir Partnership, which prides itself on providing customers with a complete design to delivery service, will be launching a number of new and exciting innovations at the show including the revolutionary ‘Fresh & Naked’ Unwashed Salad Tray.

The ‘Fresh & Naked’ tray range includes a newly developed barrier coating called Bioptima that can be applied to almost any carton-board. This biodegrable Bioptima coating, developed by the Alexir Partnership, allows for direct food contact and helps prevent salad from drying out whilst enabling the required shelf-life.

G’s Salads were the first brand to pilot the new packaging material and take it to retail. Tom Sene, Sales Director at the Alexir Partnership explains: “Board Packaging for natural products such as unwashed baby salad leaf normally present many obstacles, but we have worked closely with G’s to overcome these. The natural look of the packaging compliments the product and the sales have far exceeded initial forecasts.”

“Anthony Gardner, Marketing Manager at G’s added: “We have been really pleased with the initial sales success of Fresh & Naked, as well as a fantastic product and brand collateral, the box has been instrumental in ensuring consumer pick-up and differentiation from other fresh salads packaging.”

Alexir Partnership are keen to demonstrate the new fully biodegradable salad tray, as well as a number of other new products, that are sure to catch the eye of those visiting.
