About$2.5 Million Bids Will Be Invested in Labeling Rules in ‘09
2008-12-01
Based on the Agriculture Department in the U.S., it is estimated that roughly$2.5 million will be poured in abiding by new country-of-origin food label rules.

The increase will later convert to consumers. But perhaps it will soothe fears derived from outbreaks of salmonella and other hygiene problems.

The department released its budget report on August 1st. The figures are substantially lower than what the authority had estimated. The new label measurement plans to phase in Sep. 30. It expects to influence aspects such as beef, chicken, fresh produce and frozen fruits and vegetables, etc.
