Italian label printer Screen goes digital with Durst buy
Italian label printer Screen has installed a Durst Tau 150 UV inkjet digital label press and Rotoworx 330HS finishing system at its Milan plant.
The company has worked in flexographic for 23 years and this is its first digital equipment.
Stephen Rossetti, the owner of Screen, said: "The purchase of the Durst TAU 150 was merely the completion of a strategic decision that Screen Ltd had made some years previously, to expand in digital and abandon analogue technology."
The Tau 150 covers web widths from 10cm to 16.5 cm and utilises liquid UV ink technology. The system reaches a throughput speed of close to 50 metres a minute.
The kit features CMYK ink colours, plus white as an additional configuration option.
Its pre-press software is powered by EskoArtwork, with built-in RIP, substrate calibration and colour management and an optional variable data printing module.
