Sainsbury’s got in on the Diamond Jubilee act last month, with vintage confectionery products packaged in jars from RPC Blackburn

The company supplied 760ml standard PET vases in a clear polymer, which were crowned with a gold 89mm cap from RPC Halstead.

Sainsbury’s introduced a 14-item heritage range for the Jubilee, including jars of vintage sweets such as Liquorice Allsorts and Dolly Mixtures in the RPC vases, as well as preserves, soft drinks and beer.

The labels were based on historic Sainsbury’s packaging and the retailer’s early poster designs.
