Kallik, one of the leading providers of Artwork Management Solutions, has announced that it has licensed Global Vision’s automated proofreading technology for integration into its fully collaborative artwork approval solution AMS-360Validate. Global Vision is a leader in automated proofreading solutions for the pharmaceutical and consumer packaged goods industries.

Global Vision's Digital-Page software automatically compares graphical and textual elements between artwork files, helping organisations achieve unprecedented content integrity and consistency. As well as benefiting from dramatically increased accuracy and quality, companies can also realise significant improvements in efficiencies as the proof reading process is reduced from hours to seconds.

Commenting on the integration, Neil Gleghorn, CEO at the company says: “Ensuring the accuracy of content of packaging components is an extremely challenging and time consuming task, a situation not helped by the immense commercial pressure to deliver products to market quickly, yet accurately.  For many companies, even a very minor error on packaging artwork, can be catastrophic, leading to a product recall and all the legal and financial ramifications that might follow.

“The automated artwork comparator tool plays a crucial role in dramatically increasing packaging accuracy and preventing copy and artwork related errors, whilst decreasing the time and cost of reworks, improving speed-to-market and significantly reducing the chance of costly reprints.”

As well as detecting graphic and textual differences between two documents such as incorrect fonts, barcode and registration errors, colour deviations, location changes and dropped or added text, Digital-Page has an extensive reporting feature that documents and tracks all differences, ensuring the accuracy of printed packaging materials.  It includes the inspection of foreign languages including French, Spanish, Italian, German and Japanese and is fully compliant with FDA requirements including 21 CFR part 11, a rule governing electronic record systems.

“Global Vision is pleased that Kallik has chosen to include our comprehensive artwork inspection technology to complement Kallik’s powerful AMS-360Validate system. The combined product offers customers the next level in artwork management and accuracy.” said Reuben Malz, President of Global Vision.

Kallik’s range of software solutions is designed to simplify and accelerate the artwork management process whilst improving manufacturing efficiency and scale for the client. AMS-360Validate allows you to manage and track the artwork production process from the studio through to print stages in a simple and highly efficient way.
