The KO cartoner, designed to guarantee production speeds up to 600 cartons per minute, represents confirmation of CAM's mechanical technology, paying particular attention to good fabrication standards

The elimination of areas where product residue or packaging material depositing would be inevitable (made possible by the cantilever structure), makes this machine suitable for use in all sectors, where periodical inspection is compulsory, in conformity with the most restrictive standards of quality.

The exclusive carton erection system incorporating a continuous motion 5-station turret, allows total and progressive carton pre-breaking to be carried-out in a time period longer than the machine cycle.

Each carton erection station is composed of two suction-cup arms which, by pulling externally on the two adjacent faces of the carton, guarantee positive opening, whatever board grammage is used and even in the case of handling square-section formats. The central drum, on which the product and carton transfer lugs and pushers are integrally assembled, is distinguished by the complete absence of chains or belts and ensures throughout the course of time that perfect alignment of the above elements is maintained. Perfect product introduction is also guaranteed by the insertion of the buckets inside the carton simultaneous to the action of the pushers, avoiding any uncontrolled passage of product from bucket to carton.

As on all CAM machinery, the KO is also equipped with the Mechanical Memory® system, transforming complete size change-over into a series of rapid and pre-set operations, which can be carried-out by unskilled personnel in less than 10 minutes, eliminating the need for fine-tuning adjustments and allowing size change-over to coincide with actual production change-over
