The multi-part case or the tray+lid packaging consists of two separate packaging elements which are made of one flat blank each. In this context, the lid for closing the tray can have characteristics which have an impact on the machine process. Here, we can differentiate between:

• *Internal lid – The side walls of the lid are placed between the product and the wall of the tray.
• *External lid – The side walls of the lid are located outside the external walls of the tray.
