What's Poi Corrugated Board?

The Poi Corrugated Board is one kind of biodegradable packaging product. Primarily, the base materials of rice husks, corn cobs and recycled plastics, are prepared to be grinded into particles. The treatments of mixing and sterilization for the base materials happen during this process. Then the mixture of the base materials is kneaded into a dough, and the mixed dough is extruded into strips and cut into particles. Continuously, the particle materials are put into the forming machine to be heated and extruded into substrates. When the substrates are under a hot, soft state, a mold is utilized to blister and formalize the substrates such that finished products of biodegradable packaging materials with specific shapes can be completed. Biodegradable packaging materials without pollution can be manufactured by waste of natural ingredients used in our daily life, so as to achieve the purpose of environmental and ecological protection.

One objectives of the development is to blend with natural materials.
