Tradition
With the founding of the company in the year 1892, Johann Friedrich Gietz laid the foundation stone of this traditional Swiss family-owned business. In the meantime, the 5th generation have taken over the management i.e. at Gietz AG Gossau Ms Claudia Gietz Viehweger and her brother Mr Hansjörg Gietz. It has become almost a family tradition that each Gietz generation develops a new machine model. Their researchers and developers ensure that the latest findings from the global user community and from Gietz‘own research flow continuously into the different machine models.

Strategy
For decades now, Gietz has concentrated on the four technology fields of foil stamping, embossing, combination foiling and embossing, and hologram transfer. Foil stamping machines from Gietz are recognized by printers worldwide as industry leading products from professionals for professionals. Gietz is also a byword for reliability in the security industry. The Gietz machines are able to fully demonstrate their flexible performance in the application of OVDs on to banknotes, official documents and in the trademark protection field. Gietz has agencies in every continent and in all major industrial countries.
