For the 1973 Vintage from Bowmore, IPL constructed a customised MDF box with cedar wood veneer, a bespoke metal latch and recessed metal hinges.
A recessed aluminium plaque set into the front of lid of the box is printed and overlaid with an emboss. Laser etched branding with black ink fill also features on the veneer on the front of the box.
The bespoke metal latch replicates the Bowmore warehouse door handle.
The inner lid of the Bowmore box features brand information in copper foiling, with the inner lining constructed of 300gsm paper and the inner fitment established of flocked off-white EVA that contrasts beautifully with the outer wood texture of the pack. The box stands on felt feet.
“For special whiskies and the finest of fine spirits, tradition and heritage matter,” said IPL.
“For these rare expressions, the development of successful, impactful packaging frequently entails the communication of brand credentials, recognition of the distiller’s craft and, often, a representation of the provenance of the product.”
