Kite Packaging has recently invested in a new ‘dock leveller’ for its warehouse operation in Coventry.

This follows a year of strong growth and the need to create efficiency to cope with increased delivery rates from inbound suppliers.

The new dock leveller ramp is designed to help optimise labour efficiency and speed up the process of the warehouse operation.

It allows loads to be moved in and out of the lorry in a single horizontal movement, by bridging small differences in height between the loading and unloading bay and the vehicle bed, ensuring a smooth and safe transfer of goods, and saves over half of the time to offload a hand ball container.

Kite is also in the process of expanding its site, acquiring neighbouring commercial property and expanding across the group with its UK-wide branch divisions with 32 new roles being created across a broad range of departments from warehouse operation, IT, marketing, sales, and customer service and credit control.
